Los Angeles Art Association is proud to present The Marks of our Time, a special collaborative exhibition with Art 1307 at Gallery 825 on January 18, 2025. Curator Cynthia Penna thematically traces the individual and collective history that contributes to our passage on earth. Every human presence marks a transition on earth; it creates a footprint that it leaves behind. Each step is never amorphous or useless, everything retraces our history and small individual stories contribute to form a great collective history.

We leave footprints behind us that others are bound to pick up and retrace, rework and revise. What do we leave behind us on the planet? What do we want posterity to remember about us? As a community or as an individual - what are we giving to history? What legacy are we leaving behind? It is not just technology that we are leaving behind, but rather a sign of the times from an intellectual, cultural, moral, affective point of view... a glimpse of the present projecting into the future. Seven Los Angeles artists and seven Italian artists explore this premise. The Marks of our Time runs January 18- February 21, 2025 at Gallery 825 and travels to Naples in May 2025.
