WE'RE STILL HERE!
As we all know, the advance of Covid 19 impacted the globe in difficult and unexpected ways and the emerging artist community was duly impacted as well. The contemporary art world, like most entertainment and arts economies are largely predicated on in-person gatherings. Art galleries, museums and art fairs depend on groups coming and supporting artists. Absent the extended ability for in-person exhibition, artists retreated to their studio and their art-making practice. We are happy that we have resumed safe in-person public presentation at Gallery 825 in October 2020 and have since maintained a robust in-person and online programming schedule to sustain the goals of emerging artists.
We are writing today to ask you join us in supporting a non-profit arts organization that has helped emerging artists for over 96 years? Through the good years and bad, wars, civic unrest and now a pandemic, LAAA has continued to provide opportunities and services to artists. I urge you to support LAAA's 2022 Artist Fund by sending a year-end donation today - it's a great investment in the future of our shared cultural identity.
The successes and expanded services we provide to local artists are impressive and deserve to continue into 2022.
Thank you for your consideration. Any donation will make a powerful difference in the lives of Los Angeles' most creative and underserved populations - the emerging artist.
