Artist Statement
Stone is a medium entrenched in history. When I put my chisel into a fresh piece of stone I know that no human has ever seen the inside of this particular stone. The stone reveals its history like the rings of a tree and when sanded the beauty of its crystalline structure shine. The stone speaks to me and I am compelled to sculpt it in the direction to which I’m lead. The results are organic manifestations of raw emotional power.
