Sara Yukako
Artist Statement
Sara Yukako was born and raised in Japan and is now living in Honolulu, Hawaii U.S since 1994.
Following her art studies with several Art and Graphic Design schools in Japan, she moved to Hawaii and continued studying many different styles of arts such as abstract, landscape and still life with watercolor, acrylic, mixed media and monotype prints, carving on wood board and ink drawings at Honolulu Academy of Art School in Hawaii and has attended many workshops of nationally recognized master artists like Stephen Quiller, Don Andrew, Frank Webb, Barbara Nechis, Jeanne Dobie and many more. Sara Yukako is an award winner of numerous art exhibitions in Hawaii during her 25 years of artist history.
A theme of her work is “the power of life" which god gave us, the birth of energy. Her motifs are all kinds of the creations that god provides us, especially the sun, the water, all kind of creatures, plants and universe, natural beings witch last long.
