Palmer Earl
Artist Statement
In my paintings I explore uncomfortable ideas and emotions to gain perspective on my self and my environment. The extreme focus I use in painting offers a welcome escape to my inner world.
Most often my images pertain to my role as a woman, wife and mother. I use metaphor, female form and animal allegory to tell my story. The use of color sets the mood and the meticulous detail invites the viewer to enter my painted environment. My images are intentionally unsettling and strangely beguiling.
