Artist Statement
As an artist, I have evolved over the years and am constantly pushing the boundaries of my work. Recently, I have created a body of work based on the oval shape. These are mixed-media and acrylic pieces that often squash flat shapes together within the picture plane. I like to play with movement and stillness, and a personal narrative runs beneath the surface. I entertain myself with discovering the possibilities.
My work was featured in the recent Kolaj Magazine Issue #14 as well as the books, Collage, Assemblage and Altered Art; Masters: Collage, Major Works by Leading Artists; Geo Graphic, A Book for Map Lovers and The America Journal of Nursing magazine.
