Min Zhang

Artist Statement

My name is Min Zhang. I’m a christian artist from Shanghai and live in LA right now. My works are inspired by Holy Spirit, combining eastern and western elements to create my abstract arts, and working on my newest series “The revelation of heaven, earth, and the Holy Spirit ”. I’ve been teaching drawing and sculpture in Fine Arts College Of Shanghai University;  In 1985, I Participated the “Shanghai University fine arts exhibition” in New York; Participated the oil painting exhibition in Japan, Ginza 1987 and won the outstanding art award; The work won in the 24th Asian modern Art Exhibition in Japan 1988; The work was exhibited in the 6th U.S. “shoe box” sculpture tour exhibition in 1988; Holding solo artwork exhibition in Shanghai M50, 2009; Obtained professorship at Shanghai Academy of fine arts and retired in 2016; Member of  Shanghai Artist Association; Shanghai Senior Crates Artist.
