Artist Statement
Lynne Deutch studied Fashion Illustration at the prestigious Parsons School of Design and has a Bachelor of Science in Studio Art from Skidmore College. She was the creator of Lynne Deutch Ltd., the successful upscale corporate and retail gift company located on Melrose Place for over 10 years. Lynne is an avid art collector and an advocate for the arts as a founding member of the Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA), a long-time supporter of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), the Israel Museum and the Tang Museum. Lynne would consider herself an Artist and Photographer. Her works are studies in spontaneity and spirit with her photography focusing on capturing life as it might appear every day. And while her desire to paint and draw continues, her passion for photography allows her to adapt her perspective on the human form to works with the camera. Lynne's motivation to capture the spirit or mood of her subject, whether it be a person or place, continues to guide her down wonderful, unfamiliar paths around the globe.
