Artist Statement
Over the past three years I have been exploring humankinds interface with the earth as an interrrupter of the natural world.
Our increasing urban imprint through urbanization and industrial development has cascaded the changes in our earths environment, causing ozone depletion,catastrophic weather changes and a host of unforeseen consequences to man himself.
As an artist who loves nature, these changes are both horrifying and beautiful visually. It is this contradiction that keeps me painting the "Earth Interrupted"series..
