Artist Statement

I'm an evolving Los Angeles based painter in the early to mid-phase of my career who also goes by the name Future Sauce.

I was born with a rare eye defect that causes great vision impairment; I'm legally blind in one eye and recovering from a retinal detachment in the other.  I'd like to bring awareness to the fact that creativity doesn't have to stop because of your challenges.  I find it enhances my work by allowing me to see things in a way others may not.

Staying artistic is fundamental to how I define myself.  Finding moments to create between work and looking after my two-year-old son Henry has become an obsession.  I refuse to step aside or give up on who I am.  I paint in defiance of my disability.
