Katherine Murray-Morse
Artist Statement
Each landscape, animal or figurative work has a unique perspective and story to tell. Katherine’s mission is to capture that essence - the beauty, lightness or depth, that “space in between” life and art. She has been drawn to color, its subtlety and bold form since a child. Katherine works in oil—direct painting, landscape, still life and figurative— with a special focus on landscapes of Southern California.
Prior to painting, Katherine was a banker, later a museum director and more recently, a financial planner as well as a board member with arts and preservation non-profits.
