Artist Statement

I first painted a mural for LA on the 101 for their ‘Mural row’ collection. There my art was the backdrop of many series and movies and adorned the city for decades.

In 2020 and 2021 I have been commissioned by the city of Palm Springs Public Art Commission to design street art for their Art District, I have 5 pieces currently I’ve painted uptown and downtown and at the Palm Springs Convention Center. I am painting now for Sherman Oaks and Cathedral City.

Palm Springs Art just spotlighted me and my art last month on three platforms.

Currently I have 3 Art Exhibitions: Las Laguna, Laguna Art Gallery and Ontario Museum where I'm getting attention and eager visitors that have long awaited the opening of Live Shows.

The Latino Art Museum in Pomona's Artist Colony by the city of Pomona awarded me for my Artistic Contribution last year.

Last Summer ArtsofPoetry Magazine did an article on my and my artwork.

The Sun Newspaper dedicated their entire Living Section front page to me highlighting my work and featured my Mural work.

I was also named "Artist of the Year" by Inland Empire Magazine where four full pages focused on my own Art Style "Kattmopsheres".

My greatest creation is my son Drake, my true masterpiece. He is my pure muse and I look forward to creating new works through his eyes and inspiration for all to enjoy.

I have been continuously creating ART and sharing it in Galleries, Museums, Online as well as Public Arts to reach the maximum viewers as possible.

To achieve the title of "Artist of the Month" by ArtJobs would be a proud feat I would love to accomplish.

I have been teaching art to children and adults for years, recently online locally and internationally applying my skills toward building the foundation for all artists to flourish.

During this covid time I have been working even more, as Art is Therapy and helps people heal and express themselves when it is most needed. Visual Arts a vital to each of us and our community; It has been an honor to be a part of creation that unites us all.
