Artist Statement

I am guided by my interest in exploring the possibilities of image manipulation through both analog and digital processes. What if these images are combined? What if this form is distorted? What if these colors are blended, or new colors applied? These are the questions that drive my work. This process requires looking past the original images sometimes visualizing what could be, and at other times accepting random, unexpected, or even accidental consequences that emphasize form, line, and color. Not setting limits and accepting the element of surprise is exciting and empowering.
