Artist Statement
My goal is to create a dialogue between my work and the viewer that lingers in the viewer’s mind beyond the moment of interaction.
Personal experiences inform my artwork. Using photography as a point of departure, I explore multiple artistic disciplines including straight photography, painting, video and installation art. From figurative to conceptual art, the visual stories are my reflections on a theme. The medium employed for each story changes based on what I am trying to convey.
Working on projects or series, each body of work becomes an obsession where I create dozens of works until I exhaust my interest in the subject matter. Once this urge has been purged, I look to create a new body of work.
