Jamie Stone

Artist Statement

Jamie is a self taught emerging artist based in West Hollywood, CA. His love of painting abstract art started in 2019 and grew to an intense passion in 2020. Since then, he has been awarded recognition in several Art Competitions.

His artwork is mostly drip paintings using acrylics. Jamie first chooses a base color to paint the entire canvas which ignites creative ideas for the rest of the painting’s journey. The layers of vibrant colors dripped on the canvas afterwards creates artwork that can be described as frenzied colorful energy.

This frenzied colorful energy and movement in his drip paintings are partially credited to the music he plays while painting. There’s an artistic “dance” that Jamie performs through his tools (brushes, sponges, yarn, sticks) to the canvas that creates paintings that are alive, even fluid hopefully giving the viewer a different “show” every time they view it.
