Artist Statement

There is an emotional element to painting that must be successfully expressed through one's craft. That silent communication is my driving motivation. It could be the way light hits on a certain subject that strikes a chord in my soul, or the subject itself. Once sounded, that chord must be set forth in a visual image. I strive to improve my skills and reach inside to draw those emotions out through my brushes and use of colors. I continue my artistic journey knowing there is no destination; just beautiful stops along the way.
