Artist Statement

While I have a full time profession outside of the arts as a Soldier, I am a self-educated freelance artist, experimenting with practical ideas and impractical notions.  I have been viewed as an impressionist and serial abstract artist.

The colors I use always begin with the three primary colors and are lightened or darkened, hardened or softened, brightened or shadowed.

I create all with my imagination and inspiration of the brush. I have always drawn and painted, including floor cloths, the walls of the apartment, glass bottles and the drafting of homes.

The true fascination I have with painting is that I can paint and paint, over and over, on a canvas and alter the picture but not the perception.  Humanity, the beauty of nature and my imagination takes over the canvas with each brush stroke.
