Artist Statement

Emily Binder’s work explores the themes of entropy and order. A painter since childhood, Binder began as a figurative artist and later moved towards abstraction, collage and photography. The collages she creates combine a plethora of mediums including paint, gleaned paper materials, fabric and other craft supplies. Her abstract works are made with either paint or acrylic.
