Artist Statement

I am a Los Angeles based artist and a Southern California native. I enjoy using many mediums and styles, creating and appreciating the art in all its different forms. But what resonates with me the most are the contemporary pieces that are created using mixed media, particularly pieces that mimic growth in nature and space, as if an attempt to catch a tiny glimpse of the enormity of life and its existence. I like to think of art as a form of thought provoking therapy for the observer, so implementing elements of grounding earth and organic textures that you can touch and feel are what I am drawn to the most. This inadvertently creates a broad and flexible path of direction on my part, all while producing the most satisfying amount of visual effect.

We are but living organisms floating in an ever exanding universe and, for me, to remember this, envelops me in a calm that I find so many of us need from time to time. With my paintings, I strive to deliver that same blanket of calm for others.
