Artist Statement

Once there was a time when I needed to escape. Believing I had found sanctuary, I proceeded
with reckless abandon on a decade-long path. The damage was almost too much, but
somewhere hidden underneath the broken pieces of my life art remained. And just like hope’s
choice to remain in the box, art did not abandon. From a distraction to a passion, art endured as it soaked up the wreckage. Here I have the opportunity to refine it and release it.
