Artist Statement

I am a celebrity and event photographer who likes to show the world my inner dialog and experience as the observer. My work reflects an interest in people and in contextualizing and commenting on the human experience. Even when photographing attractive people and beautiful spaces, my work focuses on balance and context. I am telling a story that combines both beauty and tragedy with the objectivity or subjectivity that I bring when framing those experiences with my camera. My reflections on beauty, people, and damage result in diverse images of beautiful things, interesting people, and edgy, marginalized places. Sometimes I find the subject of interest and then at other times they find me.
