Artist Statement
I am a self taught contemporary artist and first started creating 3D multimedia work that emphasized the politics and culture of the Hispanic community.
I began painting on canvas with acrylic several years ago and am mostly drawn to large canvas pieces and bold colors. All my inspiration through the years have come from my daily surroundings.
I live in Southern California with my husband and two dogs. I enjoy trail hikes, nachos and California red wines.
I continue to explore the use of color and starting in January 2017 I have begun a series on the homeless in Los Angeles.
