Artist Statement
My paintings are developed on flat surfaces, by creating layers and working in stages. I use strong colors to show intense emotions, combined with texture creating a visual and tactile experience. The quick drying properties of acrylic paint with the addition of acrylic mediums, helps me to have better control of viscosity, color saturation, and luster. It also allows me to layer colors using other paints and mediums to enhance my work. I am utilizing shapes, forms, color and lines to create a composition, depicting the imagery and the illusion of visible reality.
